The Global Clinical Engineering Journal (GCEJ) has updated its Policy on Guest Editors and Special Issues to further strengthen editorial governance, verification procedures, and publication quality and integrity.
The updated policy introduces enhanced requirements for Guest Editor eligibility verification, clearer standards for Special Issue proposal review, strengthened editorial oversight, and more explicit risk identification and rejection criteria. These revisions aim to improve transparency, ensure accountability, and safeguard the quality and integrity of the Special Issue process.
All Special Issue activities—current and future—will be governed under the revised policy, effective immediately upon publication of this announcement on the Journal website.
