Dear Colleagues,

Recent advances in sports science and neurorehabilitation, with a strong focus on diagnostics, treatment, and prevention, are revolutionizing the way athletes and patients with neurological disabilities approach recovery. This special edition explores developments in biomechanics, neuroscience, wearable technologies, robotics, and virtual reality, with particular attention to imaging techniques such as ultrasound for movement analysis, early diagnosis, and treatment of conditions. The use of ultrasound imaging and other advanced diagnostic techniques enables real-time monitoring of neuromuscular and skeletal structures, supporting accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment protocols. The edition examines new multidisciplinary approaches that integrate biomechanics, neuroplasticity, and emerging technologies to improve functional recovery and optimize physical performance.
